El disco fue editado en Australia en Setiembre del 2011. Ahora se va a editar en USA y UK.

Meat Loaf nos depara sorpresas: ahora, se viene su nuevo disco, que se editará el 30 de septiembre en Australia: el trabajo se llamará ‘Hell In A Handbasket‘ y el propio vocalista lo describió como “el disco más personal que haya grabado“. Fue producido por Paul Crook y habrá colaboraciones como las del vocalista de Public Enemy Chuck D en el cover de Tom Cochran “Mad Mad World”.
Otro rapero, de nombre Lil Jon, aparece en “Stand In the Storm”, mientras que la vocalista Patti Russo figura en dos canciones: “Our Love And Our Souls” y una versión de “California Dreamin” de The Mammas and The Pappas. Lo interesante es que si el disco se edita en Australia 4 meses antes que en el resto del mundo, es probable que lo tengamos para escuchar en unos días.

El último álbum de Meat Loaf, "Hell In A Handbasket" (2011), finalmente saldrá el 27 de febrero en Europa y el 13 de marzo en EE.UU. a través de Sony/Legacy Recordings, editado sólo en Australia el pasado 30 de septiembre.

El cantante ha estado acompañado por The Neverland Express, su habitual banda de acompañamiento compuesta por el batería John Miceli, la corista Patti Russo, Paul Crook y Randy Flowers a las guitarras, David Luther como saxofonista, Justin Avery al piano y teclados, y Danny Miranda al bajo.
Como su predecesor, "Hang Cool Teddy Bear" (2010), ha sido producido por Rob Cavallo junto a Paul Crook, encargándose de la mezcla Chris Lord Alge.

All Of Me : Es un buen tema para abrir el disco. Bastante profunda. Se va animando poco a poco y tiene un estribillo pegadizo.
Fall From Grace: Me deja un poco frío, como a la espera de algo más. Canción algo azul acompañada del típico piano de los últimos trabajos del amigo “Cacho de Carne”
The Giving Tree: Rock and Roll con aires de country e incluso de Rolling.
Mad Mad World/The Good God Is A Woman And She Don’t Like Ugly: Rock & Roll típico cambiando el solo de guitarra por un RAPEO. Para mi gusto un experimiento extraño, al menos la parte del RAP.
Party Of One: Rock rápido y potente. Buenos detalles guitarreros
Live Or Die: Un medio tiempo al más puro estilo Whitesnake. Se echa de menos una guitarra algo más elaborada, pero en general el tema cumple bien.
California Dreamin: Una curiosa versión del clásico
Another Day: Balada muy suavecita.
40 Days: Otro medio tiempo bastante sureño.
Our Love And Our Souls: Balada a duo con Patti Russo. Un dueto con Patti siempre es buena señal, pero en este caso falta chicha, se echa de menos algo más de dramatismo.
Stand In The Storm: Interesante Rock setentero con las apariciones especiales de Trace Adkins, Lil Jon y Mark McGrath.
Blue Sky: Para terminar de nuevo una balada bastante sosa también.
