P: ¿Podría describir como fue la transición cuando Nikkatsu empezó a producir películas Roman porno? ¿Se sintió más restringido en esas películas? ¿O que tenía más libertad?
R: En 1971, cuando Nikkatsu entro en el mercado Pink, no estaba seguro si podría participar. Nikkatsu no estaba muy seguro de lo que estaba haciendo y no se esperaba mucho. Tampoco estaba pensando en dejarlos porque en Japón no hay una verdadera tradición en cambiar de empresas. Por lo tanto, traté de concentrarme en las películas realizadas para televisión, y tuve mucho trabajo en la tele. Siempre me gusto y quise dirigir películas de acción, así que para mí el Roman porno no me ofrecía demasiado. ¿Había más límites? ¿O más libertad? Bueno, al director se le daba mucha creatividad y había cosas que se podían hacer dentro del género. Bueno, pero dicho esto, se tendrían que haber hecho algunos cambios.
