Zoe Bell, una stuntman woman, o mujer especialista en escenas peligrosas, fue la escargada de sustituir a Uma Thurman en los momentos de más acción de Kill Bill. Pero Zoe no fue una doble más para Tarantino y enseguida entablaron una gran amistad, lo que hizo que el director escribiera un papel para ella en Death Proof, en esta ocasión como actriz debutante.
